Impact of Donor Gifts
THE IMPACT of GIVING touches many lives and enhances quality of care…
The Stereotactic Breast Biopsy system was purchased from gifts received from the 2005 Gala and Cash Raffle. Having this advanced system enables patients to receive a high quality biopsy that offers important benefits to patients. Dr. Jeff Miller, general surgeon provides the biopsies at Wabash County Hospital.
The VIGAR family generously gifts the Emergency CareCenter each year with a portion of their annual fundraiser which is strongly supported by the entire Roann community. New cardiac monitors, as shown here, were purchased from their gifts as well as other cardiac equipment. The Vigar family raises money for cardiac care in memory of their loved ones who had cardiac disease.
Gifts and proceeds of the 2008 Gala and Cash Raffle purchased a new Cardiac Rehab Monitoring System now installed in SpringSide Life CareCenter, the hospital’s cardiac rehabilitation program site. Thousands of patients with cardiac and respiratory problems will benefit from the new system, thanks to all the many donors and supporters.
Aquatic therapy is now available at the hospital’s Rehab Place, located in the YMCA. The Hydro-Worx Aquatic pool was purchased with gifts and proceeds of the 2007 Gala and Golf Scambles in 2007 and 2008 as well as through a matching grant from the Speicher Foundation and 2008 year-end gifts.
A major gift was received for the purchase of several new cardiac monitors for the Critical Care unit. This generous gift is deeply valued by the staff and patients. The benefits of the monitors for ICCU patients with cardiac problems are numerous.
